A little over two years ago a group of fly fishing guides from Jackson, Wyoming got together and decided it was time to make a fly fishing film. The goals of the project were rather simple. Like in both the ski and surf industries, small films showing both the lifestyle and the beauty of the two sports, have been around for sometime. We wanted to do this for fly fishing, also adding a conservation element to the films. Through education we can hopefully influence important decisions when it comes to protecting the last great places on earth to fish.
The past two summers we have worked on two separate projects. One, End of the Road, has been completed. It is the story of four fishing guides traveling to Mongolia to fish for Taimen and the adventures they encounter. The other film, Why We Go is currently in post-production and will be completed by early Spring. It is a film about Jackson Hole and our native fish, the fine-spotted snake river cutthroat. The film focuses on the fish, the area, and the people that have made Jackson what they are today. To try and capture why it is so important to keep this and all of our remaining pristine areas the way they are so that future generations can enjoy them the same way that we have been able to. |
